"The Jefferson Lies" by David Barton, is a superbly documented and highly effective rebuff to those who have sought to mischaracterize Jefferson as a sexual predator, racist, deist, and secularist. Anyone reading this post who holds these opinions of Jefferson MUST read this book to learn how thoroughly they have been duped by those seeking to destroy the reputation of this great man. I will entertain any treatise of equivalent scholarship which purports to support these clearly false accusations.
